Beekind's Own Original
Honey Apple Pie

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Ingredients:
2 pie shells (we like the organic ready made shells available at Whole Foods)
6 large organic Granny Smith Apples (any kind of apple will do just fine)
1 large organic lemon

Step 1:
Peel and slice the apples into very thin wedges (1/16 to 1/4 inch)
Pour the juice of the entire lemon over the sliced apples and drain the lemon juice into a saucepan (save for later).
Pack the apples tightly in pie shell. Use all slices.

Step 2:

Sauce Ingredients:
3/4 cup cinnamon creamed honey
1 Tablespoon butter
8 teaspoons of arrowroot or 1/4 cup of cornstarch (we prefer arrowroot)
1/2 teaspoon salt
leftover lemon juice

Stir sauce ingredients together saucepan and slowly warm over a medium heat and bring to a soft boil.
Pour this hot mixture slowly over the apples.
Top the pie with dough.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.
Bake another 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Let the pie cool slightly.
Eat warm or cold.
Add a little vanilla ice cream or fresh cream for extra greatness.
You just made an apple pie with honey!
