handcrafted candles (reasonably priced) in almost every
color, and in many sizes and shapes.
Beeswax like honey is derived from the nectar of flowers
and honeybees will fly 150,000 miles and visit over
ten million flowers to collect enough nectar to produce
one pound of wax. Burning beeswax can be beneficial
to your health. Beeswax creates negative ions that make
floating particles in the air heavy. This helps to clean
the air you breathe. Beeswax burns up to 30% longer
than parrafin. Beeswax is a renewable resource.

to make, rolling you own allows you and your children
to make candle making easy and fun. beekind offers both
honeycomb beeswax sheets and flat beeswax sheets. Over
30 different beautiful, rich and fabulous colors in
8" x 16.5" beeswax sheets. Colors vary according to
variations in dye lots.
At beekind we make a solid hand lotion. Lotion
(that in most cases you can take on a plane. Our lotion
bars are are blended with fine butters, cold pressed
oils, and essential oils. These lotions are certain
to protect, soothe, heal and rejuvenate your skin.
Beeswax is is often used as an ingredient in soaps,
cosmetics, creams, lotions and polishes. While the beeswax
provides an additional moisturizing element, Beeswax
soaps are creamier and last longer.
Beeswax is a natural wax made by bees and used by bees
to build combs for which they will raise their young
in and store honey and pollens. Humans often use beeswax
in fine candle making and as an ingredient in long lasting
soaps, creamy natural cosmetics and creams, lotions
and polishes.

Raw Honey is honey that has not been heated over 108
degrees. After that temperature honey begins to lose

Pollen is one of the most complete foods in nature.
It increases the body’s resistance to stress, disease

fats, aromatic substance and of course, water.
Pollen contains 25% to 30% protein by weight, provides
all 22 known amino acids, minerals, water-soluble vitamins,
enzymes and carbohydrates. Honeybee Pollen is a natural
low calorie food. Pollen is a microscopic dust that
the bee picks up while collecting nectar. Worker Bees
mix Pollen with their own enzymes, pack it into her
leg pouches and carry it back to the hive. Honeybees
carry out more than 80% of all plant pollination.
Royal Jelly is 50% protein and includes amino acids,
lipids, carbohydrates and trace minerals. Royal Jelly
is what causes an ordinary egg to become a queen. It
serves as food for all young larvae, yet it is the only
food for queen larvae and makes up a large part of the
adult queen bee's diet. Royal Jelly has a stimulating
effect on people suffering from fatigue and/or depression.
Propolis is a combination of substances that is collected
by the bees from tree sap, sticky grasses, and other
sticky substances. Propolis is used to seal cracks and
secure combs in the hive. It is also a powerful anti-biotic,
causing the inside of the beehive to be one of the most
sterile environments found in nature. In laboratory
tests, propolis has exhibited a variety of interesting
antimicrobial and antitumor properties.
Beekeeping is an enjoyable, rewarding and affordable
hobby. Beekeeping is good for the environment and a
healthy way to spend time. The consumable products honeybees
provide are a constant source of healthy food stuff,
intrigue and envy.
If you want to raise your own bees, the store takes
orders for packaged bees early in the year. Please plan
to pick up your bees on site, specific pick up dates
apply. Honeybee prices vary year to year. beekind
honeybees come from a reliable breeder (with over thirty
years experience) and all queens are of the Italian
variety (perfect for the California North Coast Mediterranean
environment. These Italians are golden colored and the
bees are beautiful and are great wax and honey producers.
We do not ship bees.

supplies, equipment and protective gear from several
manufacturers such as Mann Lake, LTD., Dadant, Brushy
Mountain and BetterBee. The store proudly offers locally
made equipment by Serge Labesque, S & C Labesque
and Country Rubes.
beekind provides “hands on” beekeeping
classes and ongoing support to new and continuing beekeepers.
beekind also offers swarm and honeybee removal
services. If you spot a swarm of bees, or have bees
in your wall, call beekind and they can provide the
swarm with a proper home. If you want to keep the bees,
beekind can catch the swarm and hive them for you on
your property in your own equipment. beekind does not
provide yellow jacket or wasp control. Extraction services
(removing honeybee colonies from walls or buildings)
are available as well.
beekind is member of Sonoma County Farm Trails
and and offer tours of the bee yard at their store location
(by appointment). What is great about this tour is that
folks don’t even need to leave the bus.
